Meeting Recap

TOC | Back To Top

The Last Meeting was held on July 17, 2007.

The meeting, as usual, went extremely well. It started off with a welcome to 2 Guest, one new (Ken Vitagliano from Countrywide mortgages) and one returning Jon Stearns from Edward Jones. After the guest introductions, a slightly new approach was given to the morning format. rather than focus in on what members do, which is primarily well known to all at this point, member decided to focus on the networking successes and experiences of recent, through network 128. Talk was of one-on-ones, successful leads and referrals and deals that were being worked on.

Jeff Garr suggested that Don Cohen, in exchange for his repeated generosity of sharing the conference room with us, be named the Spotlight Member of the month. This means that  all network 128 members should focus hard on how we can bring new business and solid referrals to Don.

A Few other topics of interest we discussed at the meeting:

Website information Needed :
Jeremy would like more group participation, information on your business, newsletter info, one on ones etc.

Andrew Wolf suggested that it may be beneficial for members traveling in similar circles and industries to try and get together for group meetings.

Jeff and Jeremy discussed the potential growth of the group to roughly 20 to 25 members with a waiting list to join.

Alex Mathew gave a very successful and informative presentation of efact paperless office solutions

Next meeting August 7th,
Please have a sub if you can not make it.

ALL MEMBER WHO HAVE NOT YET PAD THEIR DUES, PLEASE BRING A CHECK.

Social Event Recap
A Message From Jeff Garr

Net 128 Team:

I want to let all of you know that the 1st quarterly Networking Event sponsored by Network 128 was a resounding success.  I believe we had in attendance about 30 people.  In addition, everyone seemed to have a great time and let their hair down so to speak.  We had many visitors so great job by everyone that brought visitors to the open house.  I believe the visitors seemed to be very impressed with our group.  After having spoken to many of our teammates most felt doing this quarterly would be a great idea.  We can discuss this at the next meeting.  If we are in agreement then we will pick the next date at the next meeting and begin planning.

Not only was the event a success but we also made money.  We profited about $150 from the event.  That was even though a couple of our members had no cash to pay, not bad.  We will use this money to help pay for our annual Holiday Party at years end.  The bank account is growing fast with money.
