Are You Checked In?

are-you-checked-in

Foursquare the recently launched  geo-targeting mobile application phenomenon has been the newest social media tool gaining mainstream exposure. it enables people to earn badges and to compete for mayorships based on the number of checkins to a particular business or other location. This is a clear sign that applications such as these are the next best tools for marketers to use, find and connect with their audience.
.
What better way to tell someone about a sale than when your customers are actually near your store? Foursquare enables businesses to notify users of special deals when they are in the vicinity, as well as enabling them to leave tips/recommendations based on their knowledge and experience of said location.. Trust is the main key for customer relationship building and applications such as these have enabled businesses to build a bigger sense of awareness & communication with their customers.
.
So the next time you go somewhere,  be sure and checkin. You never know what you may score with a good sale or perk. :-) . Want to know what’s going on around Transmyt? Like us on Facebook and keep up with our Foursquare Friday routine as we checkin to local businesses in and around Brookline (near our office)

One thing about Foursquare is, it can kind of shape serendipity, if that makes any sense. You check in and voila! — there's a coupon or a notification that something fun is happening. Chance and a directing of chance — an irresistible combination.

Well said! I agree. It also creates a competitive nature amongst friends making it an engaging application.
